Invercargill, New Zealand - The SBS Bank Southland Stags are thrilled to announce the re-signing of Joe Walsh for his eighth season as Prop. Walsh, who currently plays for Woodlands in the Go Bus Southland Premier Men's Grade, is one of the squad's most senior players and a real veteran in the team.

Director of Rugby Matt Saunders expressed his pleasure at having Walsh back in the team, saying, "We're glad to have Joe back for another season. He's been one of our most consistent players and a leader in our tight five. Joe has been outstanding in our High Performance training, and we're looking forward to him having a big year and leading our team into battle."

For Joe, he is excited to be back once again, saying, "I'm excited to be back and running out with the Stags boys for the 2023 season. With all the lads putting in the hard mahi now, I'm confident that we can make this season a successful one. Nothing to lose. Bring on 2023!"
