Southland Under 19 Boys

The Southland U19 programme was established in 2014 to play in the Jock Hobbs Memorial National Under 19 Tournament. In 2014 Southland were the inagural winners of the the Michael Jones Trophy section of the Tournament and in 2017 were runners up in this section, which was an outstanding result as Southland is the smallest union numerically in NZ. In 2020 with the introduction of the Super Rugby U20s, the National tournament was replaced with regional games which in future will see Southland play against Otago, Canterbury and Tasman.
