2009 Representative overview:

The U20 team was disbanded through the season due to lack of numbers following a bad run of injuries near the beginning of their season. Hope was high at the start of the year following good numbers at the trials.  The reality was although there was good numbers the standard and fitness levels of these players was not high.  I don't feel we have enough high quality players available to this team in Southland to warrant us continuing in this competition.  Most of our top U20 players are in the Stags or Development team.  Thanks to all the players that gave it their best shot in what was very trying circumstances and special thanks to the Coaching and Management Staff who did their best to continue on when things were not going well.
